I saw Molto Mario episodes on FLN today I guess the Scripps people have decided to move his "old" shows to one of their other networks.
The shows start without the theme song and it is missing when they go to and return from commercials too.
The shows seem to be from the very early days of MM in the late 1990's based on the fact that he his cooking on a Thermador cooktop.
They changed that after the first few years when the network made their deal with Viking.Last edited by Clove; 12-27-2007 at 09:47 AM.

Interesting. I wonder why they wouldn't use the theme? Or was it not used in the earlier tapings?

Anthony's old show was on FN yesterday..the first one was from 2003. We have seen all of them so we weren't interesting in watching it again.

The theme song must have been a separate sound track.
I have 3 old DVD's that FTV marketed, years ago, as "in depth" training by Mario on Italian Cooking by select region.
They were some privately shot segments with Mario showing how to make pasta - step by step and stuff like that.
And then some of the "regional food" segments were just an entire show from Molto Mario were he made 3 or 4 dishes from that "region".
The theme song was missing from those MM segments as well.Clove

I just noticed that FLN and FTV are now both running old Molto Mario shows on a daily or weekly basis.
The FLN shows are older (as I can tell form Mario's smaller girth).
I guess he's getting double exposure as they phase him out.
Who can figure?Clove
