He announced "Mario's Ultimate Grilling Challenge" sponsored by Viva. Applicants submit up to a 3-minute demo of their favorite grilling recipe on video. The winner gets to tailgate with him and R.R. at the NASCAR races at the Texas Motor Speedway in November. The winner will be announced on R.R.'s show.

He also showed his brand new cookbook "Italian Grill".

I thought Mario hated everyone on the Food Network that wasn't a chef. Isn't he the one that called any of us that like the non chefs the "walmart crowd"?

I never heard about that remark but I know several years back on one of the shows they had with up-and-coming chefs, he was making nasty remarks about them.

When RR was on "Iron Chef America", she was paired with 'her good friend Mario'. Hey, maybe he knows which side his bread is buttered on. She could probably buy and sell him twice over with all the $$$ she's got rolling in.
