Mario - On the Road Again! I know it's not FTV but has anyone been watching the new PBS show that Mario Batali, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Bittman and Claudia Bassols are doing, Spain...On the Road Again ?
The 4 of them are traveling through Spain, eating, cooking, touring, exploring and having fun.
They produced about 13 one hour HD episodes and they are about to run the 3rd one this week.
I'm not sure it's great TV but, for me, it's great fun to watch the light and airy interplay between the 4 of them.
The cooking and eating is another highlight for me too.
So is the Spanish countryside and history
Here's a YouTube of the PBS promo for the show.

I read one article that said he is "somewhat slimmed down" But I am not sure what that means.

You can tell it a wee bit... especially around his face.

Well, maybe by the end of the shooting, he'll be slimmed down.
Running around Spain may take some inches off his waist.
We'll see.
I won't be back into NYC for a few months and if my timing is good, I report personally on Mario's girth.
PS - His face does seem less round in that photo and based on the story link, which is dated 9/17. That is many months after the "Spain - On the Road Again" filming ended.

Oh, he was much larger. If you watch some of the older IC, you can really tell. Hope he stays on track. It is so difficult to lose weight the older we get.

I don't see him that much except on Iron Chef America.
