New Yorkers: be sure to look up at the sky tonight. Mario Batali will light the Empire State Building in his signature shade of orange to kick-off the Food Bank of New York City's Go Orange! program, a fund-raising effort to fight hunger. In color and message, it's an ideal partnership for Mario if there ever was one.

Go Orange! runs through December 31. Each dollar contributed allows the food bank to provide five meals to New Yorkers in need.

That food bank was one of the "winners" in Batali's grilling contest. One of the contest sponsors, Uncle Ben's rice, donated $5k to them.
