Food Network denies firing of Mario Batali
Newsday - 1 hour, 25 minutes ago"Mario canned by the Food Network" was the hot item on the culinary blogosphere yesterday. The rumor was prompted by a New York Post story claiming that chef-restaurateur-bon-vivant-Nascar-dad Mario Batali had quit his "Iron Chef" gig when the network refused to renew his other shows.
