I might need to do that. I just hope the old samsonite gorilla isn't still our UPS man. I still remember our vanilla bottle shipment that didn't make it.

Never had much problem with UPS and glass, my packages have been well packed, might make a note that your UPS is rough maybe they can add extra bubble wrap, or peanuts when they ship it.

I have tried buying dishware and having it shipped. When the UPS man handed it to me I could hear the pieces rattling around in the box.

One time I ordered potato chips and the box arrived totally smashed! The delivery man just dropped it off and didn't even ring the bell! I watched him from the study.

I immediately drove to their facility and demanded they send it back, which they did. The box was marked all the place that it was chips and even had the return address as a chip company.

They said he shouldn't have delivered it in the first place.

I swear, everyday we spend a good hour of our day fixing someone else's mistakes!
