YOUNTVILLE, CALIF. -- When you sit down to dinner at master chef Michael Chiarello's year-old Bottega restaurant, you're not only in for an amazing culinary adventure, but the food booster also hopes he will fulfill his goal of "being your manager of social interaction."
During a recent visit to Chiarello's bustling Italian-influenced eatery in Napa Valley's gourmet gulch of fine dining, I got the chance to learn all about the veteran chef, TV personality and food entrepreneur, his approach to cooking and his philosophy about what makes for a good restaurant experience.
