He also has a great recipe, which is similar, using asparagus wrapped with prosciutto.

Paula has had a recipe for green bean bundles for a couple years, but she uses bacon to wrap her bundles. Green Bean Bundles Recipe : Paula Deen : Food Network

I've also seen people use chives to tie the bundles.
