ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Robert Irvine's plans for a pair of restaurants in St. Petersburg, Fla., are on hold as the celebrity chef struggles with business problems.

The St. Petersburg Times reported Sunday the Food Network personality had plans for side-by-side restaurants in the Florida city, but a lawsuit and other headaches have left the planned sites empty.

Local interior designer Susan Nice is the force behind the lawsuit, alleging the "Dinner: Impossible" star reneged on a contract for her to design his two eateries. ...

THE SWOLLEN LIVER AWARD, for the chef/or food person who has most consistently resisted the cruel attentions of PETA and the Food Police, goes to Ariane Daguin, upsetting Cosentino AND Laurent Manrique.
