Food Network Chef Speaks Out About Past

"I made a couple of mistakes, and I'll stand by and take the beatings," chef Robert Irvine, the former host of the Food Network's hit series Dinner: Impossible, tells Us Weekly exclusively in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
In February, news broke that Irvine misrepresented certain aspects of his background, including working with the British royal family and being knighted.
"I'm trying to move forward," he says.
Though he lost his show and canceled plans to open two restaurants in Florida, the married star still has his fans.
"I've had thousands of e-mails supporting me, and I am truly grateful," he tells Us.

Seems like an odd sentence to comment on his marital status. I wonder if it's some hint that there is trouble there for him as well.

Yes I found that piece of information a bit out of the ordinary as well... I hope not, he needs someone to stand by him through this... poor guy I will miss his show.

Maybe he has had a lot of 'proposals' and they thought mentioning this would put a stop to it???? Who knows?

I think they're basing that on the last statements by FN which were issued at the beginning. I don't think the production cycle has ended yet.

Has Food Network every officially commented about this? Have they officially said whether or not the show has been canceled?

I really and truly like Robert Irvine and his show. I'll be very disappointed if the show is canceled because it was entertaining. This whole thing is a shame.

In the beginning they said it would be revisited. But the stories more recently seem to point to him knowing it's over.

The only thing that makes me wonder if they will actually cancel the show is that they have not taken it off the schedule. Not only is it still on the schedule, they show it often. I just checked, and the show aired 6 times today. That gives me hope!

They say they are fulfilling his contract and airing the rest of the season. Seems like they are trying to do that all in 2 months. Maybe it's to be done with him ... or maybe it's to see what the ratings are like.
