Well, Michael Symon really doesn't have anything on the food network besides the Iron Chef gig, I guess they wanted to give him a chance to have his own show...
I'really wished they'd give Robert another chance... he just totally filled the suave, cool-car-driving, mission-impossible persona really well.
I will give it a try, but I'll really miss Robert.

Personally, I think they should have let the show just go and die off.

Really, have you even seen a show where they replace the main character and still loved the show? Doubtful.

They could give Michael Symon another show, but change it up a bit to make it his own. It's like he is now the substitue teacher, which we never liked as well.

Maybe this will be like a James Bond kind of thing ... there will be several over the years always compared to the original.

I just read the article in this morning's Plain Dealer and I think I'm gonna have it framed. I'm so psyched! Our hometown boy got the gig! Woo-hoo! Now I'll start watching the show.

Happy for Michael Symon, though sad for Robert Irvine. I don't understand the network messing with a good thing. You don't fool with your number 3 show. I understand that Robert lied. That doesn't make him any less entertaining or informative, and he apologized. I won't promise not to watch the Michael Symon episodes but I'm going to do my best not to, just on principle. (And because I still think John Besh should have won the next iron chef competition)

The John Besh loss still stings for me too.

Boo Food Network, Dinner Impossible will not be the same. They need to read peoples thoughts on this most people want Robert back, who cares about credentials when the show itself is entertaining. Entertaining because of its host. I am not a symon fan and probably wont be. This will be the end of DI
