90% has to be a rough drop though. I hope he sees a turn around soon. I know he has worked very hard to get where he is today.

oh I agree 90% has to be a hard hit, but if I loss 90% I would be in the streets and homeless. I think sometimes they over state stuff, it is like I did not make the 10 million I expected and projected to make, I only made 5 million so did I lose 5 million dollars? the news reporters would say so if it would make a headline. Just my way of looking at the world.

The loss of 90% doesn't just effect Ramsey's ability to take a fancy trip or buy a new car; it also effects 100's of employees and suppliers who take the hit along with him.

I realize that it effects a lot of other people and was not making light of his loss, but it is hard to realize that when your talking 59 million dollars that it is such a hard loss. Yes it does effect a lot of people who are barely surviving these economic difficult times. I do wish him a speedy recovery, but it seems more like his losses were do to some over ambitious moves. I also hope to that all our restaurants survive through these difficult times, and I think with careful management the good ones will, this will be the time that the so, so or mediocre ones will fail.

It will be interesting to see if GR has the sort of staying power he will need when the chips are down. It seems he's under seige from many directions (personal as well).

I figure he has a future in television no matter what. He has built quite a following with the shows he has now.
