Lightbulb Recipes for 2

I would love to see a program where the recipe and the amounts would be appropiate for 2.
I have notice that there is a lot of leftovers in the pots and pans at the end of programs, after the chefs are done serving the display food they just cooked.
In the studio, there could be a lot of personnel that take advantage of the leftovers. I know (been there) that the chefs cook a little more than necessary to treat the crew. Others, like in Chef Ramsey's HOT kitchen, the waste is enormous. PITTY !
In my home, the children are gone, the nest feels empty. Still we need to cook for our spouse. The amount now is smaller the recipies have to be alter because there would be too much leftover to put away. I would love to see a program that would veer to this kind of demography : Students, young couples, older couples .

I would love a program that is evolved around cooking for two, primarily like we would find in a meal cooked restaurant style, the only thing is with that they prep for large crowds even though the the dishes are prepared individually. I know some times, I want a small meal but it is so hard to prepare only enough for two. I have gotten a lot better, but I have been use to cooking for at least four, and use to be at family get to-gathers it was 40 or 50, not that I prepared it all but you made enough of your dish to feed that many. Now the family is spread all over, and get to gathers are a thing of the past, people gotten older, family feuds, just not like it was. So now I practice small light dinners and try to keep them small, I have yet to figure out how to make a two layer cake for two, usually end up throwing a lot out, and some times it is what I make that determines how big of pot, now gumbo that a 3 or 4 meal dish for us, just never could see going through all that for a little pot, same amount of work as the big pot. But yes Myrna a show on cooking for two would be nice, but that is out of the network demographics under 24 and over 54 is where your going to find the couples like that before kids or after kids.

When making a cake, if I'm not having friends over to share, I will bake the 2 layers and freeze one, split the other and ice it or I will cut the layer cake in half and freeze it. If not we are eating cake for a week!

Most 2 people families will only have the refrigerator freezer. Extra frozen items do not fit in that capacity. I know, I'm one of them. Also the idea is to save. With so many people hungry in the world, it hurts me to see the waste.

Example: Yesterday AB showed the science of baking a cake. Then he measured the weight of the batter, divided by 2 pans THEN didn't scrape to use all the batter in the bowl. Why? .

I hope that in other programs, where the amount cooked does not fit in a serving platter and stays in the pan/pot, I do hope someone from the crew could eat it and not throw away.
