Necessity is the mother of invention. For those long stretches between Easter and Halloween when candy is in short supply and groceries dwindle--here's a simple recipe to squash late-night sweets cravings.
Nutella on Pepperidge farm cinnamon bread is one of my favorite late night or early morning quick fixes. And it's not a big calorie item with cocoa and skim milk used in it. It's a nice sweet tooth filler with out going overboard.
That's true. I woke up about 3am the other morning and was hungry. Then I thought, well no wonder you last ate 9 hours ago! That is a long time in between meals.
When I was pregnant I had gestational diabetes. I had to go to a nutritionist. She said everyone would be better off eating small amounts spaced out over the entire day instead of making one of their meals during the day the largest amount they eat during a 24 hr period.
Nutella is a staple in our pantry. Crepes on Sunday morning. Spread on a Triscuit. On multigrain as a sandwich. How I love thee, Nutella, let me count the ways.
