Bulk Foods

Bulk Foods

A blogger I read gave this place a good review so I thought I would share the link here.

There is an Amish bulk foods store at an outlet mall in this state. They have all the stuff packaged in small containers and bags instead of bins like a lot of bulk places.

The Amish bulk foods store in Charleston is awesome. I got all of the dried fruits and crystallized ginger to make AB's "Free Range Fruitcake". And their spice selection is pretty good too. Everything is at reasonable prices and manageable bag sizes.

Oh, and the cake is terrific. Even if you hate fruitcake, you'll love this one.

Have they opened the one in Charleston now? I have been to the one at Flatwoods.

YES! Its in Kanawha City.
6309 MacCorkle Ave

A new strip mall place right by the MacCorkle Ave (Kanawha City) exit ramp. You turn in by the Bob Evans.

I've been there several times since it opened in the summer.

My Dad told me they were putting one there. I don't get up that way too often. I do most of my shopping in the Corridor G area.

I don't head that way much, but I make a special trip up there a few times. Worth the trip when you need a bunch of stuff. I make my list.

Went to the city last week with son and was in one of these places. I can't remember the name!! Everything in the store was organic as well as much of the bulk food stuff. We just went in for the exotic beer selection.

Not sure I'm comfortable with so many having so much access to my food....
