I ordered these from Penzey's and received them in the mail today. They look like they are chopped up shallots that need to be rehydrated I am eager to try them and see what they are like.
I am going to be on a little trip tomorrow and I will get to do some shopping. I think I will get a new pepper mill. I bought some white peppercorns with this order too. So naturally I need another pretty pepper mill to put them in, I have one for black pepper and a 5 peppercorn blend ... now I need one for my white peppercorns.
The last time I bought them they came in a jar with the grinder on top, now I have the loose ones.
