I buy black peppercorns for my pepper mill. I've never tried any of the pink or green. They do sell a mixture that I'm thinking of trying, though. I only use white occasionally and buy mine pre-ground and keep it in the fridge. *Horrors*

You know what 'they' always say......you'll probably eat a pound of dirt in your lifetime. Personally, I'd rather not read those types of articles. With some of the oddities that people in other countries eat on a daily basis (Anthony Bourdain's shows come to mind), they're still standing, LOL.

I read once that the average person will eat 8 spiders in their lifetime without knowing it.

If we all knew everything that was in our food, we would all grow our own and become vegetarians.

I came across a small glass jar of mixed peppercorns (black, white, pink and green) that has its own grinder on the top. I love the flavor. I find it has a bit more of a 'bite' than the regular black peppercorns I use and the grinder also works a lot better than my own grinder. I think I'm going to have to get a new grinder because it'll work on medium and heavy but, on fine, you really have to work at it.

I have bought that mix before, it's great on chicken.
