Assault

I just freaked on my refrigerator. I swear I'm going to invent a belt driven shelf that after 1 week it moves the food to a trap door and right into the trash. It will be called the "Crap Away" conveyor system.

My daughter eats good, but it's hummus and stuff like that. She is a little Dago princess and never throws her old stuff out. How in the world can you tell if hummus is bad......it's all green or brown and smelly anyway. Well....she has to start her collection over again.

I love hummus, especially the spicy variety from Trader Joe's. Bought some yesterday with sea salt pita chips. Had that and a slice of cataloupe for breakfast. You should try it...delicious!

I don't think I have ever eaten it. I don't really even see it around here at the stores very often.

They may have it by the refrigerator dips. Trader Joe's has a whole refrigerated case for it, but that's a west coast thing, I guess.

Growing up in Chicago I don't recall a lot of stuff like there is out here. But then, that was in the 50's and 60's and who would have really thought yogurt was something you'd WANT to eat!:72:

Right now I have yogurt, hummus, fresh mozzarella, burp-free cucumbers(don't need them, but they were at the farm),
artichoke hearts, all kinds of Italian deli meats, sundried tomatoes...in my fridge. Never would have had these growing up.

Times and tastes sure have changed.

I went to a grocery store when we were in Palm Springs. A real upscale place for me but probably not them considering the area. It was interesting to see what is common there. I enjoy going to grocery stores in other places, especially far from home. You can get an idea of people by what they eat locally.
