Talking What's Your Favorite Comfort Food?

With fall/winter coming up fast (our trees are losing leaves already!), what comfort food meal are you looking forward to making and enjoying?

I love soups and stews...the smell in the house just makes me feel all cozy. Add a fire in the fireplace, a glass of wine and I'm in heaven!

Autumn has to be my favorite time of year.

I like the fall too.

I like to make rice krispie treats in the fall. (I am such a kid..) But I also like to make stews and chili as well. White bean chicken chili is my favorite!!!!!!!!!!

Lasagna with fresh baked bread or homemade soup is always good on a cool day.

I love fall too!

I do a lot of baking when the weather starts to turn cooler.

I bought some chocolate chips this morning... thinking cookies

I am the same way. I hate to heat up the kitchen in the summer but in fall I am ready to go.

I bought chocolate chips, pieces of dark chocolate, pecans and almonds last week. Saw them on-sale and thought, autumn/holidays are coming up, buy them now.

We need an autumn Smiley, other than just the pumpkin. Suzie, are there any out there like colorful leaves, Smiley playing in a pile of leaves...?:fruit2:

Where does it get fall ? seems like an endless summer here, but cools down to the 70's sometimes. Soups, and I am so looking forward to a baked ham, with sweet taters, green beans casserole, home made sour dough rolls, and acorn squash made with a patty of pork sausage in it.

We get the four seasons here, but autumn is a mild one, as is winter. Oops, I probably shouldn't jinx us. Now it will probably be one of those strange ones with tons of snow and rain. Oh well, you can't control the weather.

I will be sure to have plenty in the freezer and pantry, just in case we get weather-bound.

Aoneil, that white bean chicken chili sounds great! Do you have a recipe to post?
