What kind would you most like to have in your pantry.

Raw, so I can boil them.

I voted roasted and salted, but I can't remember the last time that I bought a jar of peanuts. Usually I get the mixed nuts and pick out all of the cashews to eat.

I also love boiled peanuts, but those are best bought from the side of the road and then not thinking about the fact that it probably isn't the most sanitary thing in the world as you have no idea who those people are who sold the nuts, where they came from, or how clean the pot is.

I like cashews too. I have a bad habit of calling them cashew peanuts. But I guess that isn't correct. I should say cashew nuts I suppose.

They have big cans of all cashews at Sams. I usually get them at Christmas.

Cashews - honey-roasted.

My mom used to put peanuts into a bottle of Coke or Pepsi and eat them that way. She also boiled them, which i prefer the dry roasted ones much better.

I love cocktail style peanuts as opposed to dry roasted. I believe that they are fried in oil as opposed to roasted. Virginia peanuts are my favorite, big and crunchy, they are the best in my opinion. Trader Joe's sells VA peanuts that have been blanched then fried giving them a great crunch texture, they are similar to "church peanuts" that are sold in these parts as fund raisers for local churches.

That was too hard! I love in shell peanuts! But I love Spanish ones too. I remember when my mom and I would go to Sears there was a candy place in the store and she
buy Spanish peanuts
I love honey roasted ones too.

I like the oil cooked or kettle cooked peanuts, they have a nice "crunch" to them. Planters has them now in plain, ranch and a honey BBQ. I like the plain the best. Also, like Beer Nuts.

The nuts you will always find in my pantry are: pecans, walnuts, cashews, macadamia and pistachios.

Once you open them, they should be kept in the fridge.

The natural oil that's in them could turn rancid and cause them to spoil if left in the cupboard too long!

That's the type of peanut I am talking about! Between the crunch and the salt, they become addictive!
