Anyone tried the new Duncan Hines carrot cake?
Duncan Hines has launched a new premium carrot cake mix with a guarantee that it will be the best carrot cake that you have ever made. Do you think that this is a bold claim? Has anyone here tried it and did you like it?
They call it the Duncan Hines Decadent Carrot Cake.

I am not sure that a cake mix can live up to that claim. I sometimes use a cake mix when I need a cake with a sturdier structure and when the cake is just a supporting roll and not the source of flavor (like my chocolate ganache torte, with 1/2 pounds of chocolate between the filling and glaze), and duncan hines tends to be my least favorite.
What do you think?MAC

I have had a mix before ... not this one though. Years ago a girl I worked with made one. It had a lot of little dried carrot pieces that didn't quite rehydrate. It was an unpleasant thing. They were a hard chewy texture.
