Anyone know a good substitute for...

... heavy whipping cream? I'm making Paula's peanut butter pie this weekend for Father's Day and I'd like a good substitute. Thanx...

Sometimes I use half and half in place of heavy cream just to make it a little lighter and not as rich. It depends on the recipe and I'm not familiar with this one.

You can mix equal parts ricotta and milk and it makes a good substitute, blend it together well in a blender. You can go as low fat as you want that way depending on the milk and ricotta you buy. You keep the texture but lose some of the flavor. With peanut butter added in though you might not miss it.
