Walters accuses Deen of contributing to childhood obesity
Atlanta Journal Constitution
When Savannah restaurateur Paula Deen appeared on “The View” Tuesday morning, the ABC Daytime talk show's resident den mother Barbara Walters clearly had no ...

How many kids is Paula cooking for now. It has to be a bunch if she's force feeding them without parental supervision. Why hasn't she got to mine yet? My kids are skinny, guess they need Paula to come fatten them up.

I swear there is no personal responsibility left in this world. Everything is someone else's fault.

That show drives me crazy! Why did Barbara approve Paula's appearance if she was only going to have negative comments? Did she plan it? Probably.
To say it is Paula's fault for making children obese is ridiculous! Parents can either buy the book or not. We have freedom of choice as to what we make for our children and ourselves.

Paula is not the root of adult or childhood obesity. That changed when parents started feeding themselves and their families at the local fast food drive-thru. Like in Paula's comment to Walters "I think we have to teach our children, first off, Barbara, moderation.”, parents need to take responsible for their children's diet. They have these kids, but then don't want to take responsibility for raising them. They want the world to have that responsibilty... in foods, what is show at the movies and on TV, books, music, etc.

Well Paula can not be the root of all evil, Jamie nor Bobbie, either one are fat or way over weight, think Walter's needs to look in the mirror, she probably has cause more people to over eat watching all her reports that causes everyone stress.

Over weight children, are the results of lazy parents, either to lazy to take them to the doctor, or to lazy to cook healthy meals and then parents feed them all the fast food junk.

My kids eat more high calorie foods than we do, but they burn it off. And they have managed to do it eating some of Paula's recipes every now and then. Shocking huh?

I'm the first one to pull out the soapbox and blather on about personal responsibility in today's culture of victim hood. Really. Why would anyone try to hold Paula Deen responsible for childhood obesity rates? It's preposterous.
Now, that being said--Watching the women of The View eat as if it was their last meal (I YouTube'd it today to see for myself. I don't watch this show and can't stomach the politics of a few hosts) was a tad unnerving to say the least. Why was Paula promoting a cookbook for kids with a spread of foods full of fat and sugar?
Yes, responsibility for our children's diet and activity starts at home, but we could probably have a little less of Paula's buttery banter."Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans ... are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit."

Parents drive to the fast food places, not the children. They are products of their parents.

leave it to the wife to DVR The View, watched the segment with Paula and Barbra, Barbra was just rude, condescending, and I will be nice a grumpy old lady, who is looking to blame individuals for nation wide problems. Why hasn't she retired ?
