Unions want Paul Deen to reconsider promotial deal with firm they say abuses workers

Paula Deen's promotional pact with Smithfield Foods has turned out to be a recipe for trouble.
Claiming that Smithfield abuses its workers, a food industry union says the Savannah celebrity cook, author and restaurateur should reconsider the deal.
Short of that, the United Food and Commercial Workers want her to meet with employees who were injured at a Smithfield plant.
Union supporters have been following Deen around the country to press their case at her book signings.
On Monday, they and their supporters plan to don chef hats and rally outside her The Lady & Sons restaurant in Savannah's historic district.

GMAB!! Sorry to any union members here, but GET OVER IT!! If Smithfield was so abusive to their workers, why are there no news stories just these workers claim? If they were so horrid, there would be news stories. Unions were a good thing a long time ago, but they've out lived their usefulness if this is what they are all about now a days.

Unions. Worked for one once. United Paperworkers. Never again. Fight, fight, FIGHT! What really galls me is this line:

My God...these people need to LEAVE Paula ALONE! Follow her around the COUNTRY? I wonder how much THAT costs? One bottom-feeder actually used her handicapped CHILD to get Paula's attention, then POUNCED on her!

I'm not a violent person, but THIS makes me want to buy a TASER and follow THEM!

That about sums up my feeling on unions too. I worked at Disneyland and they took union dues but do you think they helped me when I was wrongfully terminated because I was pregnant?
