Paula Deen advises "Don't mess with Christmas."

Christmas With Paula Deen: Recipes and Stories From My Favorite Holiday (Simon & Schuster, $23) is the Food Network star's latest book. She spoke with USA TODAY:
1: In your book you write, "Don't mess with Christmas." What's that about?There are some things that are steeped in tradition, and if you've got it working for you, don't mess with it. You never want to try out a new recipe on Christmas Day.

I agree with Paula. Somethings you just shouldn't mess and tradition is one of them.

As to her answer to question number 5...age doesn't matter.

I love being 57 and being more self-confident. I'm enjoying life much more than I did at 25 and it is only getting better.

Every time I see that picture I can't help but think its not a very nice one of her. Maybe its because she's not smiling, and she's always smiling. But something about it just doesn't look right. She doesn't have that sparkle in the eye either.

I think she looks very elegant in that picture. Not cutting up, no maniacal bug-eyed "ooh, this tastes gooood" expression. Very well coiffed, and classy.

I LOVE Paula Deen. I wonder how difficult it is to meet her at her restaurant?

Ok, I'll fess up...I'm 57 and one half this month. Only 5-1/2 more months until I'm 58. That just doesn't seem right. Don't feel any different than I did at 40.
