LOL! That's what the Italians call a 'mah-peen'. I remember my mom always having one over her shoulder in the kitchen and my one sister still does it. Personally, I never grasped the concept. I prefer to keep my hand towel on a hook or tucked into my waistband.

The only one I can think of who does that is Emeril.

Just the name, "Pig on a stick" does not make it sound appealing.

It needs a new name but I can't think of what it should be called. It's similar to Chicken Satay with it being on a stick, but probably doesn't have the same ingredients to be called Pork Satay.

Any suggestions?

I don't recall the ingredients in her marinade but it was definitely not satay-worthy. As for the meat itself, all she did was take a pork tenderloin, cut it half lengthwise and then each piece lengthwise again and then cut those in half making them shorter. They looked like fat strips rather than the thinner-cut pork in a satay. But I'll agree with you about the name; it's truly been 'country-fied', lol.

I was thinking of the other things she could have called them that wouldn't sound appealing....Pork on a Pick, Piggie Sticks, Porkies, there has to be a better name for them.
