Wish granted for local teen to meet Paula Deen
MARY BETH LEHMAN Staff Writer BEAVERCREEK — Sometimes food can be very healing, but one Beavercreek family learned recently that a food hostess can also work wonders.
Aaron Whitmer, 16, of Beavercreek, has been diagnosed with brain cancer, but a trip in January to visit celebrity Food Network Personality Paula Deen, granted a wish of his to come face to face with the positive message of one of his idols.
Aaron’s mother Donna Whitmer said A Special Wish Foundation granted Aaron’s wish to meet Paula Deen in January, when the foundation flew the family to Savannah, Ga., where Aaron met with Deen, ate at her restaurant and took a tour of the city. MORE HERE
