I'm surprised Semi-Sandra hasn't used donuts more often. That recipe for the donut bread pudding does sound like something she would have made instead of Paula, doesn't it?

I have noticed on the newer Paula's Home Cooking shows, she is doing a lot of made from can or box stuff now. It is like crap my mother did when she went from cooking to buying canned and boxed food, throw it in a pan and heat it up. It won't be long and there won't be any thing made from scratch on her show. She is getting away from what made her famous was the southern home made from scratch cooking. I am not sure you would even label her cooking style southern anymore. Sorry if I seem a little harsh but I think we are losing touch with cooking and sometimes when people of influence take the easy way out, and get away from what made them people of influence to begin with, just burns my goat to no end.
