Yea, the way I learned how to cook was trial and error... when I was about 4 my mom taught me how to do scrambled eggs... when I was about 10 I made ranch chicken...it was raw and made me sick.. couldn't eat ranch for about 5 years.... when I was 14 I got offered an apprenticeship at a 3 star Italian rest. in Louisiana called Nash's....I look at it this way taste everything your putting into a dish.. accept things that will make you sick like raw chicken....that way you know what the ingredients taste like before you use them...I made some chicken last night with garlic soy sauce and fresh ginger root.. never made it before it turned out pretty good a little too savory needed some sweetness to cut it... so next time i will change it up some!......trial and error... then its good ... then some more error... then perfection!!!.....I remember when I was young like maybe 10 I was at mall with a family friend and I stopped at the food court and just stared at it.. the guy said what are you doing and I said.."I dunno.. food just does something to me."....So don't be afraid to mess up.. remember Emeril, Alton, Paula, Bobby, Mario, .. and the rest of em prolly were really bad cooks at one time!.. Not that you are, just a motivational thing!... ask for help and people will help you!.. hope this helps

I bought a couple more items today, soy sauce, cumin, and kosher salt. I've got to go buy some meat later this week. The store I went to today didn't have much in the way of choice in meat.

Planning on making it tomorrow. We'll see how it goes, hopefully it won't be horrible.

I'm pretty sure I've butchered the meal already, but here's tonight's prep.
