A Monday post?..

A day early! Surprise! I have a pretty stretched out week and didn?t want to miss our weekly date. If some of y?all out there read this near Orlando Fl. head out to Disney Saturday for the food and wine festival. I am doing 2 seminars and will have the family there with me. I have done this festival twice before and love it. Marianne Hunnel is one of the directors and the nicest woman and has really taken care of us. If you have to work with a 2 year old in tow I highly recommend doing it at Disney! Jack is completely beside himself with anticipation for the Wild Kingdom. Every day ?go zoo daddy? all day long. He is such a fan of all the jungle animals and Brooke and I are already smiling just thinking about Jack doing his hotdog dance of excitement. He has all the sounds down except for the flamingo, daddy didn?t know what sound a flamingo makes, so he sticks one leg in the air when he sees them. Brooke?s mom is going to join us and I have my fingers crossed that my momma will steal a day to come down. She (momma) is in the middle of her book tour for ?My First Cookbook? up in New York. I think she does The View tomorrow. I have to cram a weeks work into 2 days so I have to run...... Thanks for checking back y?all- Do Good Things and Gooooo Dawgs! -jamie This Weeks Recipe: From The Deen Bros. Cookbook Bacon Wrapped Corn on the Cob - Yum Bacon...... Ingredients 4 ears corn, unhusked 4 slices bacon freshly ground black pepper to taste Directions: 1. Preheat grill for low direct heat. 2. Peel back the cornhusks but do not remove them. Pull out and discard all the silk. Working from top to bottom, wrap a strip of bacon in a spiral around each ear of corn. Season with pepper. Pull the husk back over the corn. Wrap apiece of foil tightly around the top 1 ½ inches of the ear of corn. (Or use a piece of kitchen twine soaked in water to tie the top of the husks closed) 3. Grill the corn about 10 minuets or until the husks are brown all over, tuning occasionally. Let corn cool for 5 minuets before serving. Makes 4 servings.
