Only 37 shopping days till Christmas

Hey y?all Only 37 shopping days till Christmas. Ugh! Do y?all believe my wife has finished her shopping? How do people do it?I plan on breaking out the catalogs in about 30 days myself…and no, she doesn?t read this blog. Bobby and I put the first recording into the can, as they say in show business, for our podcast. We are gonna need y?all to send questions to us because after 30 minutes we have already run out of things to talk about. Phil is going to include instructions on how to find us and we hope to drop a new show on y?all every two weeks. We are excited to get this project started and in time may include some video as well so send us your questions. You can send your questions in to podcast@ladyandsons.com. phil Yes, Bobby is single, so save that question….. We have signed our new cookbook deal! We are so thrilled to have our next two books published by Random House. The first book is going to be released in the fall of next year and unless something changes will be titled ?Deen Brothers Take It Easy: Quick Affordable Meals for the Whole Family?. These are new recipes that are going to help busy families prepare great meals without spending a lot of time or money. Who doesn?t need that? We are still going to work with Melissa Clark, who is a new momma!, and the project is headed up by Pamela Cannon. We. Love. Pamela. She is the women who walked into the Lady and Sons all those years ago and saw the potential that our self published book, Secret Recipes of the Lady and her Friends, held. That?s right, Pamela changed our lives and we so love her and could not be happier to see our new books land on her desk. Maybe she can help Bobby and I sell over a million copies like she has done with mom! My first trip to New York was with mom to meet with Pamela at the Random House headquarters and let me tell you, my mom and I have never been that quiet in our lives! We are so happy for the opportunity and thankful to Pamela and the whole team at Random House….. So maybe y?all can get an early start on your holiday shopping after all….Deen Brothers Take it Easy? cookbooks for next year! Thanks for checking back, do good things -Jamie

We have the ability to add podcasts here but I haven't figured it out yet. Jamie's going to make me have to do the homework I guess.

Looking forward to the Deen bros cookbook next fall. I have both of theirs and loads of good recipes in them.

I broke down and bought more holiday flowers for decorating the bannister. I gave a TON of them away earlier this year, but couldn't help myself. I went to Michael's and cracked under pressure!

Uh oh, I have to go to Michael's today to get paint for the soapbox boy scout car. I am doomed.

If you just walk in and go directly to what you are buying (put your blinders on), you should be ok.

However, if you catch a glimpse of any of the holiday stuff, then yes, you will be doomed. They have all holiday flower stems at 50% off this week! I just couldn't resist...I was weak, what can I say.

I had to go to Michael's to get all of my fiance's movie posters framed as a Christmas present. I love that place.

Did you manage to walk out empty handed?

I had to return something at Target today and I fell under the Shopping Spell and bought a cookie press and candy paper holders.

At least I didn't spend as much as I returned! Had eight dollars leftover. Whoo-hooo!

Well, I didn't make it out with just paint. I got some cupcake papers and cookie decoration items and they had fall floral pieces 80% off so I got these ...
