Despite their happy-on-the-outside public image, celeb chef Rachael Ray and husband John Cusimano are headed for divorce, according to the National Enquirer.
A source close to the couple explained how obvious they’re problems appeared during a visit with family last Christmas. “It was supposed to be a happy holiday time, but Rachael and John made the mood tense,” the insider told the Enquirer. “When they arrived, John stayed outside for 15 minutes. When he finally came into the house, Rachael acted like he wasn’t even there. She even closed her eyes so she wouldn’t have to meet his gaze!”
Later that same evening, Rachael allegedly gave John the bedroom boot. “He was sent off to sleep in a little upstairs loft that’s normally where one of Rachael’s mother’s cats sleeps.”

I don't think I would enjoy being famous.

Doesn't even matter if you are famous or not for this kind of stuff. Years ago I got a phone call at work. The person on the other end was an acquaintance and said, "I just heard the news. I'm so sorry." I said, "Sorry about what?" They said, "You know you getting a divorce." Needless to say I was shocked. I said, "Can you hold on. I need to go tell my husband. I don't he knows about this either."

We got a good laugh out of it because we had never been happier! I find it interesting that people have nothing better to do than make up stuff.

BTW, it happened once after that when someone took me to lunch because they 'had just heard the news.'

I still get a chuckle out of it.

As much as I don't care for RR on TV, I'm sorry she's going through this.

I hope I'm never important enough for people, especially the media, to talk about me.

Are You Tired of the Rachael Ray Divorce Story?

Posted by Madeline | Monday, March 03, 2008
The National Enquirer is at it again. I went back and looked and the rumor that Rachael Ray is getting a divorce have been going around since February 2007 (at least since I started tracking them). So, at what point do people think - "Hmmm - they were wrong for the entire last year so maybe they are wrong this time?" And how many times does Rachael have to deny it?

Although, I have to admit, every time these Rachael Ray divorce rumors come out, I always wonder if maybe this time its true. Maybe I think that because I give these tabloids too much credit because I just don't understand how they can keep publishing the same story over and over again.

MSNBC summarized the allegations of the newest story, with the headline "Rachael Ray’s marriage ‘broken beyond repair.’" It relied on "a source close to the couple" and here's the 411:

If it's a secret divorce file maybe neither of them know they are getting divorced.

Maybe we should ask the NY times, they're getting close to the same journalistic integrety.
