A Rachael Ray Recipe Kiosk in Your Grocery Store

A Rachael Ray Recipe Kiosk in Your Grocery Store

Posted by Madeline | Thursday, April 10, 2008
Every once in awhile, some suits in a big fancy office building actually hit on something us regular folks could really use. I think they might have done that with a recent deal between Reader's Digest, which publishes Rachael Ray's magazine, and grocery stores.

According to Mediaweek, the idea is to have kiosks in grocery stores where customers can access recipes and cooking tips from magazines Every Day with Rachael Ray and Taste of Home, and Allrecipes.com. The kiosks, made by Shop to Cook, will be in the meat and produce sections of "more than 200 supermarket chains including Brookshires and Schnucks," and "the machines allow shoppers to look up and print recipes and coupons."

I thought the TV's at the checkouts were too much and now this. I guess it could be helpful, but if I'm at the grocery store, I already know why I'm there and what I'm buying.

I hope I can be the first to black out a few teeth and give RR's picture a mustache if one of those machines hits my store.

Ha-ha-ha-ha! Good one!

When I was at a Walmart with my daughter recently, we were walking through the aisle where they had books and I stopped dead in my tracks because out of all the cookbooks they had there about 75% of them were RR's. Whut?? She now owns 51% of WalMart?

I can't figure out how Rachael Ray can be so popular everywhere else and not here.

We have some people who are fans. At least they register that way ... based on their user name. Maybe we are scarring them off.

I don't mind her. But I limit how much of her I watch, if I didn't I would get RR burn out.

She is actually one of the few that I do watch. Her type of cooking and taste in food most resembles my own...and all my kiddo's..

Plus her and my wifey could be twins..
