Rep Power: 0 | To very honest, it's great food. i work with animals and amazing Vets daily. I own an AKC American Staffordshire Terrier. Also known to some as a "pit bull". She cost me $2500. Ive tried Eukanuba, Science Diet, Nutro, Innova Evo and many more. She hates the food and barely eats them. A matter a fact Eukanuba and Science Diet caused her to have and allergic reaction where she started losing hair and forming sores. Since i started feeding her this food, the sores have started healing drasticly and in some spots her hair is growing back. Not to mention it has no by-products and is all natural. If u actually look at the food it looks completely better than some of these dog food brands you people feed your dogs. It looks and feels fresh. Liberty wasted no time when i put it in her bowl. If u can't afford a raw meat diet for your dog i recomend this food highly. To all u who won't by this dog food cause it's sissy or dumb cause it got "Rachael Ray's" name on it, but yet u feed your dog horrible food like Pedigree, purina, ol'roy or even kibbles n bits. Do it for your dog at least! I know your they'll will appreciate it! Before i bought this food i honestly had no idea who the heck Rachael Ray was. So i can say im a believer in her dog food! |

Rep Power: 0 | June_Bug - Greets from a new member here. I appreciate your post yet one thing concerns me. You mentioned Purina on your listed of the "horrible" food for dogs.
Well, I can tell ya this, my best little friend in my whole life may only still be laying here, snoring on my foot (right now) because of Purina food. I have an 18 year old domesticated feline, named Dr. Homie San, solid black, 9 pounds, and he will be 19 in October. I've had him since he was a screaming little shaky kitten in 1989 when his owner put his entire litter up for adoption at age 4 weeks on a BBS in Houston call the HCC Houston Chat Channel. (Text only, 300 baud). He's been my pal for half my life, and I am old! Haha
When the US allowed melamine tainted wheat products to be imported from China, killing untold and undocumented thousands of our best friends in animals, I was only feeding him Fancy Feast wet foods, produced by Purina, at that time. They are one of the few that were NEVER recalled.
BTW: He has a regular doctor at Texas A&M University that sees him 4 times a year. We give him under the fur saline solution injections by IV twice a week to control his renal failure he has had for 7 years now, and his doctor allows us to use a variety of foods that include Ekanuba, Purina, etc, and in all cases, Purina is his favorite. Prescription or not. (Yeah, I sneak him some non prescription foods late at night when my wife is asleep, and we are secretly raiding the fridge!! hehe)
I'd like to know why you included Purina on your list of non-preferred dog foods, and if you have any adverse options of their feline foods.
Thanks!

Rep Power: 3 | I fed about a 100 pounds of Purina last week. First time ever. I was really surprised with the results. Imho it's a good feed. I have nothing against RR dog food, hec I'm glad she is making money. But I wouldn't feed it as it doesn't have the fat % I want in a dog food. My dogs work and I need that.

Rep Power: 10 | It's not that I wouldn't buy because RR has her name on it, it's just I make all of Sophie's food from scratch. Yes, she is one spoiled dog. Just turned 5 last week and has the most beautiful coat of fur. We are always getting stopped and people commenting on how beautiful she is. Fresh is best in my book.

Rep Power: 10 | If I were at the store and saw it I might pick up a can or whatever (the chicken kind, Ali doesn't like beef as much) just to see what it looks like and see what the dogs think.

Rep Power: 2 | In my opinion, there is a such thing as over exposure. To me, that is the most annoying thing about Rachael Ray -she's everywhere. Everywhere I turn around there is something with her name or face on it. She has a cute perky personality, but I only want it in small doses. I'll occasionally sit down and watch 30 Minute Meals if she is making something that looks appetizing to me and even her newer episodes don't bother me too much - until she's in 3 of the 4 commercials shown. I wonder how her dog food venture is going to work out for her.
I won't be buying it, but that is because I know Lucy wouldn't eat it. She has really bad allergies and I've tried a few different types of expensive dog food that were recommended by my vet and she won't have anything to do with it. Oddly enough, the only dog food she likes is Purina. At least it's cheap. |

Rep Power: 10 | I agree. A while back, everytime I opened my pantry doors, RR was there, staring at me with her big smile! At least the boxes of crackers and other products are now back to normal packaging.
No more people in my pantry...good thing I was having bad dreams about opening the doors and RR would be standing there!! Yikes!!
