Over the years, however, what I used to find refreshing got flat out annoying. I don't think that it can be blamed completely on overkill, although that does contribute. I think that she has just gotten more annoying. When watching some of the earlier episodes, she was more subdued. Still perky and used her made up words, but it wasn't as in your face. She was kind of cute and likable. It seems to me that as reviewers wrote in and said they liked her perky and bubbly attitude and refreshing style, she had to lay it on as thick as possible. And besides, I have tried a few of her recipes and did not like a single one. | I agree with what you're saying. I used to like her back in her earlier years. When they occasionally run an old, old show, you can see how she's not the same person. I realize she has to repeat herself constantly for any new viewers tuning in but it did start to get on my nerves when she's say "EVOO" and then proceed to explain what it was. It was being redundant. The thing I find most annoying is that her demeanor has become a big-mouth raspy voice. And on her daily talk show, she continually speaks to the camera instead of her guests and a lot of the time would take the spotlight off them and on to her. Very unprofessional. And she has annoying habits that I can't stand to watch, such as constantly licking he lips and scratching her head. Gurl, buy yourself some Head & Shoulders! So I finally had to stop watching all of her shows.
