I'm starting to think that maybe that's what it was. But it sure seems like an awfully elaborate prank for back then. There were 9 people in our office back then, we used to have Food Channel on in the lobby whenever the TV was on, and I know that everyone in the office saw the same emails and pictures. Because everyone was talking about it. My brother even say it and he didn't even work there. AND, I found one of the picture last night and it's one of the exact same ones we saw before. But it's small and grainy so I guess it could be faked. Did they even have photoshop like 7-8 years ago? She looks a lot thinner than she does now.
No, there's no way we could have fallen for some elaborate hoax like that and believed it all these years. There was a letter writing campaign to advertisers, one of them was Wishbone Dressing, and women were complaining about the swimsuit scene in one of the newest episodes. And I did see that episode the same week, so that was not a hoax. But I guess perhaps someone could have pulled off a hoax on the Internet to go along with that episode... She had had I believe one single show on, got popular and then they announced a newer show where she traveled and was eating, and it was like the very first or second episode of that, for some reason it was showing her on a jet ski in some skimpy swimsuit which granted, did have nothing to do with cooking, and then blap, just within days here were these picture on the Internet. Like 5-6 of them, one in black and white.
I just don't see how someone could have even faked that back then and the fake sites aren't even around or mentioned any more. See, that is what has me scratching my head. There's no trace of it, at all..... Which leads me to believe that somehow it's been removed.....
