A little Hansel and Gretel, baking the kids in the cake like that.

Too easy for me....I like more complicated recipes. I know, I'm strange that way.

I am curious to see if it would turn out. But my kids will want to eat it if I make it and we already have peach pie. I am not looking to sugar them up any more than that right now.

I've been doing something very similar to this with my kids for years. Makes a great teachers gift - cupcake in a mug.

You can also use prepackaged cake mix. If you google cupcake in a mug or cake in a mug you will find lots of recipes for this. We tested it before packaging / gifting - they are tasty little morsels. We make a glaze with confectionery sugar, cocoa powder and a little water. Great to make a batch for a quick treat some night.

Delish as RR would say!

Are those made in the microwave? I bought a little fundraiser pack from my son's school and it had cinnamon crumb topped cake you bake in little mugs but these were baked in the oven.

I would totally try it if I knew what cake flour was (or if I had some).

I use Softasilk which is made by Pillsbury and you can find it in the baking aisle at your local market with all the other flours. It's the only flour I'll use in my cold oven pound cake.
