Brewing Up A Storm With Chef Irvine

Chef Robert Irvine talks about beer and using it in cooking with some good-sounding recipes attached. I like the sound of this one: Bavarian Beer Roasted Herb Chicken.

Should we add his blog feed? He doesn't have a forum now though.

I like the blog.

I do enjoy reading his blogs, I get his newsletter also, not very often but it does come. I think the majority of us like Robert and enjoyed his show as well. I vote to add.

Maybe we could add a chef's blogs and websites forum. For chefs that aren't on the food network. Now if we can just get a Besh blog.

After reading that interview that might be awful hard to accomplish, but I wish he would also. I think if he knew how much the public really liked him, well at least us folks, he might think different of the Internet

He did seem to be anti-blog in that interview.

I use beer in chili...has to be a dark one, though, for the best flavor.

I've used it in chili too along with stew. Sometimes when grilling brats, I'll put a pan of beer and onions on the grill and as the brats get done I'll put them in this little beer "hot tub" and let them get happy. And, the onions make a great topper for the brats.
