You need my range hood, it will suck the smell out in no time. Outside it smells like we have a restaurant on the street. When I make the pulled pork and it's on for hours you can smell it blocks away.

I have her show on french onion soup on DVD, it was fun watching her knife skills while slicing those onions. That may have been the episode where she was teaching how to sharpen a knife, and what to look for when purchasing knives.

It's like that for me when I use my smoker. It's out on our deck and anytime I'm smoking, all the neighbors below me can smell it because the sea breezes carry it in their direction. Poor neighbors... to be tortured so.

Our vent is on the counter top and that thing sucks all the aromas right into the backyard. We live on a corner so everyone walking by can smell it. I love when I make chocolate chip cookies. They fill the outside with sweetness!

Wish I did have, When we left for one of the cruises, went to a restaurant for lunch in Galveston, called the Wharf I believe, it was right next to the dock for the cruise ships. I ask the chef for the recipe to the bisque but he said it had 51 ingredients and did not have time to write it out, basically telling me in a polite way you ain't getting it. Never did ask for the bread or where they got it after that. I wonder now if it is even there after Ike ? Haven't heard or seen anything about it.

prepared with passion and served with love !

Panera has a recipe on their site I have heard is pretty good if you shape it for the bowls. I haven't tried it myself though.

I made that also, but from her recipe that was featured in one her videos; The Way to Cook / Soups Salads and Bread.

I got all six of them in the series. She did these back in the '80s.
