What's Your Favorite Soup Recipe? With the fall and winter weather coming up, this is my favorite time of year to make soup. The aroma of soup makes everything seem all warm and cozy.

What is your favorite soup to make? I'd have a hard time picking just one. Love all bean soups, chicken, vegetable...today I'm going to make my Spicy Chicken Soup.

My dad makes a killer turkey/chicken soup! This was an after thanksgiving staple in our house, he would cook the remains of the turkey down to make the soup. He would make little dumplings that were kind of like noodles but thicker. It sure was coincidence that the day after thanksgiving that family would show up around dinner, they knew that the soup would be there! Thankfully he made a huge stock pot full!
The soup that I make that is my favorite is a clone of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana. For those not familiar it is a soup with sausage, bacon, and potatoes in a chicken stock with a little cream and kale added at the end, it is crazy good!

A good chowder - either chicken/bacon/corn or a all seafood one. Tonight was the chicken/bacon/corn one that I used smoked chicken in that I hickory smoked. Also love she crab soup.

I want to make corn chowder soon. Froze some corn a couple of weeks ago. This was a fabulous year for fresh corn and tomatoes.

I use the recipe out of Julia Child's cookbook and it is fabulous! Takes HOURS to make it right, but so worth every calorie.
