This is a general overall policy and will remain in effect universally save where exceptions are noted within each forum announcement area. The Administration reserves the right to alter or reinterpret these policies at any time, with or without notice, to increase the value and quality of this board, or to ward off any known or pending threats to it to the Food Network Stars, or to its' members well-being. The administration is under no obligation to explain its' reasoning or justification for enforcement of any policy, although we may do so as a matter of courtesy in certain circumstances. In other words, it's our board and it operates under our rules. We always strive to be fair, and we expend utmost efforts to avoid punitive enforcement whenever possible. However, when such enforcement becomes necessary in our judgement, we will not owe you any explanations or apologies for our actions. If you don't like that, you are free to post on some other site.
General:
Bashing is not allowed on Food Network Fans. Criticism of policy is one thing, but slamming our members will not be permitted. If you are not a fan of The Food Network there is no reason for you to be here. Also please be respectful of the celebrities privacy, do not post anything about them that has not made public.
It is not the Administration's or Moderator's job to resolve disputes between members. Members may rest assured we will not take sides. No favoritism will be shown towards a particular member in a debate. At times members will resort to inflammatory rhetoric when things get overheated. In a discussion atmosphere it is inevitable that people will become upset over beliefs or philosophies. A modicum of heated debate is expected and will be tolerated. This board exists primarily as an exchange point of discussion everyone may not agree with you, please understand that and accept that they are not required to. Each forum will adhere to these guidelines and will only be superseded because that particular forum warrants it. DO NOT POST RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL CONTENT, nothing destroys the friendly nature of this kind of forum faster than those 2 topics. There is a lot of bad stuff going on in the world we all know that. There are plenty of places to discuss those things on the Internet ... this isn't one of them. Those topics will be deleted. My intention is to come here so I don't have to think about those sort of things at least for a little while. This should be a place comfort ourselves with things we enjoy.
Revealing personal information about another member beyond what is publicly available in their profile or has already been made public by the member themselves is forbidden, except with that member's express prior approval (not likely).
DO NOT DISRUPT THE BOARD! If your behavior disrupts the basic purpose of this board, you WILL be banned. In most cases we can offer a notice before being forced to do so, but that may not always be true.

Mere references to the above subjects are fine for purposes of debate however linking to sites elsewhere on the Internet with such content pro or con is not allowed, the context of those references without linking to such content may be scrutinized for adherence to this policy. In other words if you post something I wouldn't want my kids to see, you and your post will be gone.
Use of foul language is discouraged on this board. Language or other material that goes beyond the bounds of good taste may be edited or deleted at the sole discretion of the management.
Although Food Network Fans does not and cannot review all the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message or content for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Food Network Fans, vbulletin , (the makers of the bulletin board software), and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).
Food Network Fans also reserves the right to forward any and all available information to authorities in the event of legal action arising from any message posted by you or your activity on this site.

Moderators:
Moderators exist to help keep their assigned forum as active as possible. Moderators have the power to edit posts, delete posts or move threads. It is the sole discretion of the management team to decide the location of moved threads. In most cases a moderator will have no need to have to face using these powers. Admins are usually around. The main purpose of a Moderator is to insert fresh topics, reply to existing topics, help steer the general content towards a healthy learning experience and to keep the Administration aware of any problems. Moderators also contribute heavily to improvements and suggestions regarding the board and forums. We value our Moderators highly, and could not do our job without them. Please treat them with respect.
Banning:
Not all bans are permanent. Be advised you have been warned with this notice that spamming and the like will not be tolerated.

You must provide a valid e-mail address for registration as a member, but your profile can be set to hide the address. We do not divulge hidden e-mail addresses to other parties except for the legal reasons outlined above, nor do we allow their use for advertisement purposes. In other words, you will never receive spam as a result of registering here. We allow the usage of free e-mail service addresses for registration, such as Hotmail or Yahoo, as long as the address is valid, and remains so.
