Wouldn't be the first time a book was written with false information. Hey, if it helps to sell, they will write whatever it takes.

Yeah, but then I would have expected it to have come out when the book was released instead of now. Except maybe the book caused the investigations?

I thought it was a cookbook, I don't know if he did a bio. But I haven't looked for any of his things. I keep saying I am going to but I forget when we go to the book store.

I wonder if that lawsuit in Florida got all this started? It's a Florida news paper.

Dinner:Impossible is my favorite show on the FN. Unfortunately if what is being revealed about Robert is true, it goes way beyone inflating a resume'. It all seems so stupid and unnecessary, unless he couldn't sell himself to the network any other way, and obviously they didn't check him out. He had to know that if he lied about so many things, it would come out eventually. My question is, Why?

I don't know I have wondered about that myself. It's true they were not just exaggerations they were out and out lies. I love that show too, I really wish he had not done this. He's making it tougher to be a fan and I truly was a fan of his.

I've watched the show a couple times since the news broke. It isn't the same for me. So much of what Robert says I have to wonder whether it is true now. This week he mentioned that he called "his" sous chefs to come help with the Governor's ball. How are those guys his? Does Robert have a restaurant in Philly or NJ? Seems that would have been mentioned in the articles about his failed restaurant deal in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sure, it is a little detail but it matters to me. I think it would probably matter to Governor Ed now too. RI will never get to cook for anyone or any business that cares about reputation. No one will want to be associated with him.

Apparently Robert was the head chef at one of the casinos at the Jersey shore (I forget which one), and that's where he lived. Before all of this came out, I kind of thought he must have lived in the area, because so many of the shows are done in NJ/PA.

I've watched it as well, and it really didn't make a difference to me, but then I really never paid much attention to his CV. I watch the show because I enjoy it.

While Robert's "inflations" are disappointing, I don't think FN can totally wash their hands of all culpibility. Someone was clearly asleep at the switch when it came to verifying Robert's work history. As for why, I supposed he felt his actual accomplishements weren't enough.
