...Britton also has more episodes of the Food Network series "Dinner: Impossible" to shoot, on which he joins returning host Robert Irvine to prepare meals under extreme conditions.
Although Irvine was axed last year for padding his resume, he was rehired by the network for at least six episodes, which should start airing in March or April.....
Does this mean that Simon is on the out? I never much watched the show but I like Michael Simon, the man has an infectious laugh.
I wonder if they really wanted to bring him back or if it was something contract related where he was signed for a certain number of episodes and padded resume or not they had to use him.
Public opinion IMHO is what brought back Robert, personally I would watch him right along with Emeril and Gordon Ramsay 24/7. How they come up with all these dishes, and some of them on the fly when they have to make changes, is just amazing. I know he is not the only person coming up with the dishes but still he is good. I think Michael was OK, but never filled Robert's way of doing the show, not that he is not a good chef, just not the same. I knew there had to be someone in this world that thought Michael's laugh was standable, I personally found it like running fingers down a chalk board. But to answer your question yes, there has been articles on him doing something else but never said what yet, other than still doing ICA.

Yes, I remember it. Not sure I believe it... but that is what they said.
That fact didn't come out until after FN announced they were bringing Robert back. I have a hard time believing it too. Think it was just FN's way of retracting what they did when they fired Robert.

Robert didn't have to put in a resume to host DI. The show was developed by a friend of his with Robert in mind as the star of it. They (Robert and his friend) made a sizzle reel and shopped it around and FN bought it. So Robert was part of the package. I think that was one reason it didn't work as well with Symon. It was like having Maxwell Smart fill in for James Bond. JMO.
