When I read the title of this thread (Sandra Lee Shoots Back at Food Elitists YumSugar.com) I thought she was fussing at YumSugar.com. Now, if she did want to fuss at a website, I think we all know of one...

Well, IMO there are folks that know food a little better than others. Eating is not the sole requirement for being an expert, so I think her commentary, while cute and cuddly, is a bit simplistic. Of course there is an element of snobbery in some food circles but over all I'd say there ARE experts in the field and they know of what they speak and I admire and respect them. We have plenty of celebrity chefs that have made it their business to make food approachable by the masses. Honestly, Sandra Lee isn't one of those people for me personally.

Perhaps she doesn't mean snobs about what they know, maybe she means how they treat others who may appreciate what they know, but aren't interested in doing it themselves.

Maybe next time she'll actually say that.
