For homemakers, holiday meals should be warm gatherings with family and friends, not recipes for stress, says Sandra Lee, host of "Semi-Homemade Cooking" on the Food Network.
"It's not about you spending 20 hours in the kitchen because you made that entire meal from scratch, and now that you sit down with your family, you are too exhausted to enjoy their company or yourself, frankly," said Lee, an advocate for harried homemakers juggling family and career responsibilities.

You must learn to love to learn.

Cooking for the holidays is huge for me. I just love it and I don't care if they take 5 minutes or 30 minutes to eat it. Just as long as they enjoy it is all that matters to me.
I was in my glory yesterday making all the food for the party. Took me hours to make it but they all loved it. Some even went back for seconds and this my exercise group! We were all joking about having to workout extra hard this morning, but that's ok. It's the holidays and we should all enjoy the bounty of food and be very thankful for everything we are blessed with.BerryBaby
