Okay. I watched it today and I was happy with all of what she made, but I think her price for making the pie crust from scratch was way off, I am certain I can make it for less than a dollar. Many of the prices she gives are much more than they are here locally but I realize in bigger cities prices will be higher, so she really can't give prices nationwide. The asparagus she gave the price of 1.69 though and here it's 1.99 fresh, and frozen isn't over 4.00. I think I will like this show much more than Semi homemade but it's tough to give a base price for everything that would be across the board.

I like this show, more than her other one, here it seems she is trying to be more of a real person. Her other show I always felt she, thought she was above everybody and look down on people. At least with show I do not get that. I will hold off on critiquing this show till I see more of it. Today was not bad, but I had a hard time focusing on the show, not very much enthusiasm for me. Really no attention getters, other than the pricing, and it would be extremely hard to make it comparable every place.

$1.66 to make pie crust??
At the time of viewing, I happened to have AB's baking cookbook in my hand. Somehow that balances out watching it
Anywho, I checked his ingredients....5. Flour, butter, lard, salt, ice water. I'd be surprised it would cost a buck to make.

Maybe she was using some fancy bottled water.

ALTHOUGH she's never claimed to be clairvoyant, Sandra Lee had a hunch 17 months ago that the economy was going to go south. While she's the first to say the only economics she speaks is the home variety, Lee had a feeling that economic forces were going to put most Americans on a budget.
