Plant a different crop of vegetables in the fall
Plant a different crop of vegetables in the fall
We're heading into prime planting time for a crop of fall vegetables. Lettuce, spinach and peas prefer cooler weather, and the flavors of cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and broccoli improve when grown in fall.

Another wonderfully timely topic! We tried Brussel sprouts for the first time this year and they've taken a bit of a beating in the non-existent summer we've had in the Northeast.
So far, the stalks have grown like some mutant outerspace plant and the sprouts are slow a comin'....Not sure if they are going to make it to fruition. This article will help--maybe we'll try them again now! I'm looking forward to more spinach and more lettuce.
