Reused Salad Dressing

Reused Salad Dressing
AOL User Maureen1016 Says:
"I used to have friends who were so cheap that after you finished having salad at their house, they would funnel the leftover salad dressing in the bottom of everyone's salad bowl back into the bottle to be used again. Gross, needless to say. I brought my own salad dressing after that and just told them I like mine better."

I have actually thought of sending a bill to a friend of mine for sending me picture messages every day sometimes more than once even after I told her to stop, it was costing me 25 cents for each one, adding to my bill at the end of the month, she had an unlimited plan so she didn't care, she eventually stopped.

My partner has a co-worker that is extremely cheap. If he has to go to a restaurant he will order whatever is cheapest, maybe a cup of soup or a scoop of ice cream for dinner, he only goes if it is a family function, and he won't tip. He got a good deal on frozen turkey burgers and ate one a night for 2 weeks straight, and was so proud of his 30 cent dinner. This person makes a modest salary, but not anywhere near poverty, he could live quite comfortably if he wanted to. He almost never uses heat or a/c in his house, he will wrap in a blanket in the winter, thank goodness it doesn't get too cold here.

I think some people just like to brag about how much they can save on things. My dad is that way to a certain extent ... but not to the extreme of saving salad dressing already served.

I consider myself very thrifty. I know what I want to pay for something and shoot to get it for that price.

I have wanted a swiffer wetjet for a while, but I hate buying things that require you to purchase refills from that company at high prices just to use the product (that's why I don't have inkjet, I have a laser that needs toner every 2 years or so). I found a way to refill the swiffer bottle, and I made my own washable pads!

My friends were like that with the text messages too. I told them to stop texting me because it added $10 to my bill that I didn't want. They would stop for a time, then just text all the same again. I finally got a package for 200 texts a month, which is more than enough and is cheaper than paying for the extra texts.
