Is it really that hard to rinse a pasta pot?

Every time I go to the grocery store it seems like there is a new bag in the frozen section with pasta meat and veggies. All claiming to only require a single skillet to prepare ... or "one pot meal"...

You're confident in the kitchen. For someone who doesn't know how to cook/never learned its very intimidating, and just easier to buy something pre-packaged.

It really isn't any harder to do it this way though. Even if you Aunt Sandy some things and buy something ... like the sauce, you still save money. I did that when our kitchen was being remodeled. You can buy the chicken strips raw and frozen and cook them without even thawing because they are so thin. It even tells you on the chicken bag they can be cooked frozen. So that's frozen just like you get in the bag, you just need to cook it till it's done before moving on to the next ingredient. Then you can get frozen veggies that will cook the same as the frozen ones you get in the meal bags, remove the chicken, add the veggies and cook them while the pasta cooks then add it all back to that skillet with your sauce and pasta. It just takes a few more steps but you save money and you can make it to suit your own taste.

And...there is always the slow cooker! One of the best inventions of all time.

Throw everything into the pot in the morning and come home to dinner. What could be better?
