Says Ted Allen: "We’re going back into production ASAP, and we’re bringing on new blood to smooth over the bumps that some of you were kind enough to point out (ahem) in season one. We’re taking every aspect of the show to the next level: the set, the myths and questions we tackle, the design of the experiments."

I like the show, but not crazy about the 'panel of experts' that they have taste food, etc. They were all so robotic. They need to loosen up a bit IMO.

I like it too. It's more of a fun food fact show than an actual food show, but it does have some neat info.

I've come to like it as well.

Some interesting questions are raised on the show such as germs, pathogens and bacteria. But I thought the show's 1st season just began.

They probably filmed them a while back and are just now showing them. Wouldn't want to commit to another season if this one didn't take off. I'll be curious to see what they change/add. I enjoy it.

Did anyone watch tonight's episode of Food Detectives?

One of the topics was about water.

The question was "Can Drinking Too Much Water Kill You?"

Yes, it can. Mostly athletes - the ones who participate mainly in grueling strenuous sports such as running in a marathon. They tend to drink so much water that it has proven to be fatal!

Almost as though they are drowning in it.

Ted himself is pretty robotic so they fit in well.
